At what age can a student start Driver Education?Maine Law requires all students to be 15 years of age on or before the first day of class to be enrolled in any driver education course.

What will the student need on the first day of class?Payment is due in full the first night of class. The remaining balance of the registration fee can be paid by cash, or check. Original birth certificate or passport (document will be copied and returned to student) Glasses or contacts, if student wears them Pen or pencil and notebook.

What happens if a student misses a class or scheduled driving time?If a student misses a class, that class will be made up during the next session, if the class is not full. If a student cannot make a scheduled driving time, a 24-hour notice is required to cancel the agreed upon driving session. A $50 fee will be charged if the student does not provide the 24-hour notice or fails to show up for a scheduled driving time. Students should make every effort to get their classroom hours in and keep their scheduled driving times. However, if needed, private make up classes may be arranged at a rate of $30.00 per hour, depending on availability.
